Here is some information about the event from the Ars Chralis website:

Carl Orff’s masterwork will be performed outdoors in the amphitheater of the Opus 40 Sculpture Park by a full complement of choristers, soloists, children’s choir, duo-pianists and percussionists. The extraordinary artistic and natural beauty of Opus 40 provides a unique setting for Orff’s celebrated masterpiece based on poetry of 11th and 12th century students and clergy.

The concert will be led by Ars Choralis artistic director, Barbara Pickhardt. Duo- Pianists Andrea Shaut and Kristen Tuttman will be joined by a five member percussion ensemble led by Chris Early to create the accompaniment. Featured soloists are soprano Lily Arbisser, tenor Chuck Sokolowski and bass Paul Frazer. (* More on soloists below.) The Hudson Valley Youth Chorale, under the direction of Mathew Camara, will participate in the performance.

Following a long established Opus 40 tradition, the audience is invited to arrive early with a picnic lunch or simply to enjoy sculptor Harvey Fite’s remarkable stone-scape. The gates will open at 5:30 PM. There will be chairs set up in the amphitheater but audience members may bring their own chairs as they wish.

There are 9 evening games throughout the summer to choose from.

We encourage you to sell tickets to your friends and family, and get tickets for as many games as you like.  Visit the Dutchess Stadium page for directions, and the Hudson Valley Renegades website for more information.

Note that the HVYC will be performing at a Renegades game on Friday, July 12, but this isn’t one of the special $10 package nights.
